Laurel Yourkowski

The inspiration for Laurel's designs comes from her deep appreciation of nature. She transforms the beauty of plant
and animal life into flowing, growing, organic designs. Her pieces are also heavily influenced by the Art Nouveau style.

Laurel's work is instantly recognizable because of her unique designs and bold use of dichroic glass. Laurel and her husband Richard
actually make the dichroic glass that they use - a very complicated and expensive process - which adds to the uniqueness of her art.

Laurel taught herself to fuse glass in 1991 and now runs her own full-time studio near Kings Valley, Oregon.
